Digital high content immunofluorescence imaging of Oct4 transcription factor distribution in human pluripotent stem cell culture.
WE SUPPORtInnovation
Laboratory validation of technology for developmental and stem cell biology applications, from guidance on cell line, model system and assay requirements to experimental design, interpretation, reporting and publication.
Positioning in applications
Assessment of target market demand and competitive landscape and identification and engagement for validation by real world consumers.
“Paul is dedicated to translating research in the pluripotent stem cell field into practical applications of regenerative medicine. A loyal and conscientious research colleague who enjoys working across interdisciplinary boundries - full of bright ideas and encouragement to others.”

OUR EXPERIENCEPluripotent stem cell technology
As a private and public sector funded investigator at the Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh and Roslin Cells Ltd from 2000 to 2021 I led international and interdisciplinary basic and applied research to grow, characterise, biophysically discriminate and purify pluripotent stem cells and derivatives.
Knowledge transfer
My research and expertise has underpinned development of best practices in commercial entities spinning out from my efforts including Roslin CT, and Axol Biosciences (via merger with Censo Biotechnologies).
From 2023 to 2024 I served as Head of Cell Technologies at Stemmatters SA, where I led establishment of state of the art protocols for human pluripotent stem cell culture, banking and characterisation compatible with quality assured Good Manufacturing Practice for Contract Development Manufacturing services.
